![]() Encounter is a time for fellowship, praise and worship, and teaching from God’s eternal Word. Below is a general outline of how Encounter flows each Thursday night. First and Foremost - Prayer For those who arrive early, we have a prayer meeting that meets in a side room of the church at 6:40 PM that lasts for about 10 minutes. It’s a great time to join us as we lift up the evening’s activities to the Lord and ask that He direct our paths as we meet with people from all walks of life. ![]() The Kickoff If you show up prior to 7:00 PM, take some time to mingle with the members of the group and you never know if you will find a new friend. ![]() The Roundup Leading up to 7:15 PM, the official start time, we have a five minute countdown video and the following takes place in some random order: >> First time visitors are recognized >> An offering for the Encounter ministry is taken >> Announcements for Encounter are shared Praise & Worship Once the roundup portion of the evening is complete, we spend the next 30 minutes or so simply lifting our voices and making a joyful noise unto The Lord God Almighty. About five songs are shared. ![]() ![]() The Word As praise and worship wraps up, a timely message is shared with the group. In general, the teachings are in a mini series format. In addition, we usually have one guest speaker a month. ![]() The Wrap Up As the message concludes, a first time salvation opportunity is provided and a quick prayer is offered over the group for the lesson just taught and for their travels home. Encounter comes to an end at 8:30 PM. Your Thursday nights will never be the same when you attend Encounter. |
